Thoughts from a hospice social workerWhen you get a group of knowledgeable and caring people working together to serve the needs of others, you find extraordinary delivery of health care specialties. When you take health care specialties and combine them with a welcoming resident and family atmosphere, concern for individual preference, dignity, and support of spirituality – you find Libby’s House. Watching them grow as an organization, expand services, and continually evaluate quality for ongoing improvements has been a pleasure of mine, personally and professionally. It has truly been an honor to collaborate jointly with them in providing my end of life care specialty to some of their residents. This enables their residents, if needed, to remain where they are familiar and comfortable at such a meaningful time in their lives and the lives of their families’. Working and living within the Plymouth community makes me fully aware and grateful for the services Libby’s House provides to our area.
